Participating partner in the project: Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu

Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu is the sole beneficiary of the project aimed at strengthening its research, development and innovation capacity in the field of the Internet of the Future applied in factories.

DIFICIL project is a project under action A 1.1.4 which aims to attract staff with advanced skills from abroad in order to strengthen the R&D capacity. The project aims at achieving the following objectives / results:

  1. Creating a sustainable team with expertise in the analysis, design and implementation of complex cyber-physical social systems (CPSS) at international level for successful participation in European research projects;
  2. Fundamental and applied research in the field of emerging technologies on which the assimilation of the Internet of the Future depends for the production of valuable publications at international level and of patents for inventions;
  3. Creating a technological infrastructure for research in the field of cyber-physical social systems within ULBS with experimental prototypes and systems;
  4. Identifying concrete research topics of real interest to the regional industry for refining case studies which will be implemented in the newly developed infrastructure for joint participation in European research projects.

The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Competitiveness Operational Programme 2014-2020.
